Welcome, Parents!

Fact: The number one place children learn to give back is at home.

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t think of yourself as a philanthropist, but we’re here to tell you, you are one! Whether you volunteer your time, make gifts to nonprofits, or contribute your skills and expertise, you are a philanthropist.

You want to teach your children to give, but how?  Where do you
start? The best place to start is with you!  If your children see you
giving back, they will naturally want to get involved.

At YPF, we believe the best way to teach a child how to
give back is to give them the tools to get involved, and the
best time to start in now. No matter how young, it is never
too early to teach our kids about giving.

Below is a list of opportunities to get your started.

Service Days

Have you ever tried to find a volunteer opportunity for you
and your family and been told, “Your kids are too young”?
That’s why we decided to host four Service Days every
year, to give you and your family a chance to give back
together.  Click here for the next Volunteer Day.

Penny Harvest

Our flagship program, Penny Harvest, runs
in more than 45 elementary and middle
schools across the Front Range. This
simple and engaging program introduces
kids to fundraising, grantmaking, and
service, and can turn even the most reluctant
students into incredible leaders.

Impact Factory

Impact Factory takes 15 kids through a 9-month
exploration of leadership, issues education and
problem solving, culminating in a capstone service
project on Global Youth Service day every April.

Traditions

Still in development, the Traditions program is designed to give families
the tools and resources they need to start their own traditions of giving.
