Impact Factory
YPF’s Impact Factory program was created to provide young leaders with the skills
and knowledge they need to change the world through philanthropy.
The program brings together 15 diverse students from across the metro area for a
9-month community engagement experience. Program participants
meet monthly and focus in three areas:
Leadership Education
Business and community leaders are invited to speak to participants on
a variety of topics, giving them exposure to many
facets of effective leadership.
Leadership topics include:
• Leadership 101
• Business Etiquette
• Public Speaking
• Board Service
• Diversity and Inclusiveness
• And more
Issues Education
Participants select the top three issues on which they want to focus and community
representatives are invited to explore the issues with the students. This is followed
by a group consensus on one key issue, which becomes the basis for the
group’s service project.
Service
Each program year ends with a capstone service project designed and executed by the
participants themselves, centered on their chosen issue. The 2011-2012 Impact Factory
program will culminate with a service project for
Global Youth Service Day on April 21, 2012.
